Mr. Powell recently retired as the Editor of the Utah Historical Quarterly. He is Utah's foremost expert on the subject of German POWs and is the author of several books including "Splinters of a Nation" (University of Utah Press, 1989) from which this film gets its name.

Mr. Krammer is America's top scholar on the subject of German POWs and author of the highly regarded book "Nazi Prisoners of War in America." He is an expert on the history of Nazi Germany.
RUEDIGER OVERMANS - HISTORIAN, FRIEBURG, GERMANY
Mr. Overmans is Germany's top scholar on the subject of German POWs during WWII. His extensive research has been featured in an impressive list of journals and other publications.
THOMAS G. ALEXANDER - PROFESSOR, BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY (Emeritus)
Mr. Alexander is the Emeritus, Lemuel Hardison Redd, Jr. Professor of Western American History. Professor Alexander has written several articles published in the Utah Historical Quarterly about German and Italian prisoners of war in Utah.
EPHRIAM D. DICKSON, III - CONSULTANT, NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE U.S. ARMY
Previous to his position with the National Museum of the U.S. Army, Mr. Dickson was curator of the Fort Douglas Military Museum and has played an important role in researching and preserving the film's story.
